    • European Commission seeks to foster greater transparency in online comparison websites and apps
According to a study (353 pages!), available for download at: , published on 25 March 2015 by the European Commission, nearly two-thirds (65%) of consumers have experienced difficulties when using a comparison tool, mostly due to incomplete information. Just 28% of the sites analysed were providing explanations on how the initial rankings were made, and only 40% of these sites were giving information on how they were making money. Comparison tools have a significant role to play in helping consumers identify better deals across the EU single market. That's why transparency in online comparison tools is important. Are you offering your customers insurance? Furthermore, just over one in ten comparison tools gave an indication of their market coverage, and less than one in five sites were showing the frequency at which they were updating the data.

    • Cityvarasto Crowd Funding
During 2014 Cityvarasto Oy self storage, operating nationwide serving in the major Finnish cities, acquired the businesses of BTW and Turun Minivarasto. This year Cityvarasto has reached its goal of attracting at least 100 new shareholders via the ‘crowdfunding’ process. This is part of the requirement according to the rules of ‘Nasdaq OMX Helsinki First North’ as companies need at least 100 shareholders when using a market making service. However, the market making service is not needed if a company has at least 300 shareholders and a listing on the stock exchange with 300 shareholders would be more cost effective. With this in mind they have decided to enlarge their goal to have 300 shareholders. As a result the offering remains open for the time being. A number of questions and answers regarding the trading scheme and for those considering making an investment can be found on the ‘Investor Forum’ section of the Invesdor website at:
